A real-time map of Calabria's buses, built on the Region's open data. Here you find who is behind it, where the data comes from and what the project is not.
Who's behind it
Behind Passa il bus is Danilo Tallarico, 18, a computer science student at the ITTS “E. Scalfaro” technical school in Catanzaro. He designed and built the map and the app.
The project starts from the question that anyone taking a bus in Calabria asks at the stop every day: is it late, has it already gone, or is it not coming?

The ITTS Scalfaro school and AMC, Catanzaro's urban transport company, sign a school-to-work training agreement that grew out of the app. Il Giornale di Calabria and CatanzaroInforma report it. The agreement is a news item: it is not an affiliation and not an endorsement of the service.

Where the data comes from
Timetables, stops and routes: Regione Calabria open data, a GTFS feed published by the Regional Operations Centre (CORe), licensed CC BY 4.0, regenerated daily.
Positions: the regional service, to which operators transmit, and for some lines the operators' own on-board systems.
Base map: OpenStreetMap. Fonts, scripts and images are hosted on Passa il bus's own domains. Visits to the site are counted with Simple Analytics, also served from a Passa il bus domain, with no cookies and without identifying readers: details are on the Privacy page.
What it is not
It is not a service of the Region or of the transport operators, and none of them controls or endorses it. The official timetables are those published by whoever runs the service. For complaints, refunds and tickets, contact the operator. The terms of use say the rest.
